very cool and I have had the same feelings about promoting my music. I will visualize now instead of brainstorm for new ideas. As you know the music biz has morphed totally since Roxanne and I created our childrens album. Oh ,the downloading piracy that most folks see as normal. I want to give our CD's away for the music to get to the kids and parents and teachers and grandparents cause it is really great stuff of daily living and conversation starting. I also want to repay the investors! perhaps a website with a free sanctioned download would be the way to go and develop performing opportunities. we are both so busy that performing isn't our first priority. Conferences might be a way to go for teachers en masse.

What I did this Summer – 2010 Creative Play #2
During the months leading up to this summer I’ve moved to a new home close to family and a found a permanent part-time job which pays very well. I’ve managed to plan and save to take a full month off to go to a wonderful retreat on one of the gulf-islands, where for a nominal fee I can live and work taking in seminars and movement classes, taking long walks through the woods and along the beaches. This has allowed me to completely detach or unplug myself from the everyday “hum-drum” of life in the city, as it races to get nowhere fast!
I wake each morning to the sound of the waves breaking on the shoreline, and listening to the birds as they sing their morning songs. Life here is simple and calm, no technology to overwhelm me if I don’t want it to. I’m happy and eager to do what needs to be done whether it be cooking, house-keeping, gardening etc. It’s a joy just to be. This time has rejuvenated my body and spirit to prepare me and propel me forward to whatever I’m meant to do next.

Creative Play #3
I have checked out the retreat web-site and looked into various ways of getting to this location via a few modes of transportation, perhaps going with a friend or travelling on my own.

Nice of farmtown relations to stop by. I think there's probably a bit more to the rampant addiction to farmtown than it's cuteness. Perhaps in a world that is quite chaotic, having a place to create order is attractive. I dunno. I do know I now have a magical labyrinth on my farm.

It's fun to actually imagine having a farm of our own. Now people usually just own an apartment.

Having a virtual farm like farmville lets us enjoy the 'cute' side of having trees, crops, goats, sheep, and cows without having to deal with the ugly part of them the animals running over your crops, pooping around, or actually chasing YOU all over the field :).

Also see our website at http://www.farmtips.info for tips & tricks and videos on on Farmville.

ON behalf of Heather Buffie, here is the first entry!

Heather Buffie was hanging out at Whistler this July 31- August 9 while hubby, Tom, was playing golf in the World Police & Fire Games. She happened to run into some Australian Dragonboaters (while she was coming out of the men’s washroom – the women’s was locked) and she was asked to join their dragon boating team. Thankfully, Tom agreed to postpone their holiday weekend to Seattle. She competed all day Saturday in the mixed 10’s and mixed 20 divisions, in stroke position! Heather and the Aussies took home GOLD!!!! The medal is beautiful. I had previously tried to register a team from Kamloops but we did not have enough participants. Call it serendipity. The stars aligned. It was awesome.

Contributed by Marilyn Puff:

AVOCADO TABLE
Version 2

In every person’s back pocket,
an invaluable avocado table of events and times
that highlights when creative juices are flowing,
when rivers are beckoning hearts
to abandon all convention
and
stripped of all restrictive clothing,
the innocent call of restorative, rejuvenating
play-inducing
water
captures the body, mind and heart
of unsuspecting staid people
who then find themselves
in an avocado green light
of magical early mornings
and
wistful warm evenings,
plunging into laugh inducing situations
of river water,
tickling their here to fore unexposed delicate senses,
crevasses,
sensually delighted curves and appendages ,

written by
AN AVOCADO TABLE INSPIRED MOMENT
To be continued…

Contributed by Marilyn Puff in the process of discovering her brilliance.

Thank you! from Janet
