Giving her Mommy a rest, Nana has Evalee for a sleepover….

Posted on

Email to Courtney… after I invited 15 month old precious Evalee for a sleepover.. not just cuz I adore her, but also because Evalee, the little monkey, had only slept a total of 5.5 hours in the last 24 hours.

Hi Court, it’s 12:45 am. your daughter just fell asleep.  she did have an hour nap much earlier.  oh my gom.. what a child!!!   just not tired, not even whiny.  she spent forever running under and through the willow tree branches.   would not go to sleep driving.  now finally asleep in megan’s bed.. I forgot that she does like that bed.. so we’ll sleep there with door closed… because the first time i tried to get her to sleep in there tonight, she closed her eyes for 4 seconds and was refreshed for another 2 hours….  she ‘snuck’ out of bed.. went to the door, peeked back to see if i was looking… then high tailed it to the bathroom toilet  paper.  she’s so cute.
So what would a new word for No be that she might pay attention to?
She is a handful.  She needs 4 adults caring for her.  on shifts. so each gets some sleep sometime. (smile)

On another note, though… Megan has asked me to bring 2 pillows for the two girls in Turkey  (apparently they think megan’s pillow is the greatest thing in the world)   I laughed, “ha ha!”  and then she said maybe i could carry them on… or maybe they would fit in the wedding suitcase.  I guess she expected me to be bringing an extra suitcase with wedding stuff, and the family has said we can leave it there until we fly out to Athens.  I’m definately going to bring the extra little suitcase.. do you think you want to put the wedding dress in there?

LOVE YOU. I hope you are sleeping    Ma
