Mikonos… and Evalee sleeps through the night!

Pretty!

Pretty!

This is the first chance to use the internet since the island travels began. Currently am on Mikonos… it’s so funny.. if there were no houses here, (each cube shaped white, rounded corners, with blue shutters and doors) there would be nothing on the islands except sagebrush and cactus and no trees. Yet, here it is so beautiful, with all these incredible little alley ways, no cars (in the ‘city’) .. flowers everywhere. Just like the postcards! I’m terribly delighted to be on ferries. (which I keep writing as ‘faeries’) and dipping my feet and swimming in the agean…

So far, we’ve been to Syros and Mikonos. We’ve had the adventures of negotiating accommodations with people meeting the ferries. Today I explore where Apollo and Artemis were apparently born… we’ll see about this. hee hee. ONe driver made a very good point about Greece… no one knows where mythology ends and history begins. Love it.

Very impressed with travelling with the family. Nobody has yelled at anybody yet. hee hee. We’re not really yellers anyway… except Evalee who has had some good yelling moments…. but generally she’s been astounding!

Okay… family awaits as we first explore the very amazing artworks throughout the alley way, and find a pair of shoes for Megan for the wedding!

And besides, Megan wants the computer. hmm. I’m a mom again.
