What would a pirate do?

To subscribers:  If you are getting a bunch of notifications of new posts, I’m sorry to be annoying!  I’m going through drafts and posting ones I think worth keeping as I prepare to download my blog. It just seems wise to keep a copy of my blogs on my computer. You know, because the world’s a bit crazy and all.
I’m trying to just post them so they don’t send to all of you, but I’m not sure that’s working each time.

I’m moving. In a week. My back aches, my knees creak…too tired to get up. I’m convincing myself that all this work… so extreme from the past year and a half of healing… is good training for my upcoming tall ship adventure. (Have I mentioned that on this blog?  I get to be a crew member on Lady Washington for 2 weeks in November… dreams come true! )

I’m writing this post instead of all the things that would be wiser options: like getting up and going to bed.

But I have this quandary. Look at this couch and chair! 27 years old, and they absolutely refuse to act their age!  Showing a bit of wear, but really, it’s ridiculous how well they’ve kept themselves up to snuff. Sort of magical. And comfy? Can’t even begin to say how comfy!!!  What to do, what to do.

So I ask myself questions…

What would a logical left brain person do?

Search kijiji and see what price a 27 year old couch and chair sell for.  Discover this is the only one in the history of mankind that has lasted this long.

What would a practical person do?

Keep it. There’s nothing wrong with it.

What would my daughter do? 

She already answered that. “Mother, you’ve had so much craziness, you deserve to start fresh with something new. And if you think you’re going to take it with you, I’m going to spray paint it so you won’t.”

What would a pirate do?

Arrr.. too good fer de likes of us. An’ If ye can’t store the grog in ’em, leave ’em for de landlubbers.

What would a faerie do?
